Jim and Karen Decker are a husband-wife storytelling duo. Though they each tell solo stories, they are better known for their tandem tales. Their many years of harmonious marriage have resulted in a "smooth, integrated style" just right for stories told by two. Jim and Karen are known as the "The Double Deckers." And being 'double' is nothing new to either of them; they each have a twin brother. The energy and enthusiasm of the Double Deckers is contagious. During participation stories, little kids and adults alike are caught up in their high-jinks. Whether telling to children or to adults, the spirit and joy of the Deckers is evident. It can be experienced when listening to their gentle, poignant stories, as well as their boisterous, bantering tales. |
