| Bio: | Debi and Stan are both storytellers who at times work as a tandem team. Debi works as an independent teller for libraries, museums, schools, conventions, and is the producer of the Grove Folk / Storytelling festival in Glenview. She has performed both here in Illinois and is a returning performer of the arts in South Carolina. Debi's stories range from preschool to adult. Debi is the Resident Storyteller at The Grove in Glenview. Debi is President of the Windy City Storytelling Guild which meets in Debi and Stan’s home in Niles the last Wednesday of the month at 4 PM. Guests and new members are always welcome. Call for details. Stan and Debi are always found performing at the Civil War days at the Grove at the end of July as well as their fireside stories at the Harvest Bonfire at Wagner Farm in Glenview at the end of September. Many of their stories include audience participation as well as singing and musical instruments. Debi is often asked to return during the holidays as Mrs. Claus who tells stories that will suit every holiday of the season. It’s a hoot to see her arrive in her reindeer mobile. Debi is a teller for the Chicago Public Schools. Stan has run storytelling workshops in the Chicago Public Schools and storytelling programs. They both offer storytelling coaching. |
