Jane teaches kindergarten at the Baker Demonstration School in Wilmette, IL. "Everyday I try to find just the right story to match the action and activities in my classroom." Besides telling in her classroom, she acts as the Storyteller-in-Residence at the school, presenting programs on Immigration and for the Sunrise Celebration and to support curricular activities. Jane also tells in the commnity at festivals and community-based and private events. As adjunct professor to National-Louis University Jane tells to education graduate students. "Teachers need to increase the humainty in the schools and storytelling helps. Teachers need to tell stories, all kinds of stories - from the world folktales and from their own lives. Telling your own story helps children tell their story - giving voice to what is important and powerful in their lives."
