Performance

As much as I enjoy teaching and work with organizations and individuals, I love telling a good story. I have told stories in a wide variety of settings - theaters, festivals, churches, cabarets and around the dinner table - to audiences of all ages. My repertoire includes traditional folks and fairy tales, humor, original image rich material for adults and children, and, of course, ghost stories and psychologically unsettling tales of contemporary life.

"I'm terribly spoiled when it comes to storytelling. Loren Niemi, a regular Balls performer and master storyteller, lives in the Twin Cities, and I've seen him many times. His stories unfold and go to unexpected places. They are enthralling and interesting." --Amy Salloway (on-line blog)

"This guy tells wonderfully different stories. Not always happy endings. Dark themes. He uses his voice but also the story structure, repeating parts in such a way that the meaning changes. Also he kept talking about the airport today, which was cool because it showed that he could just tell, could just take new experiences and let them lead into his prepared stories seamlessly. Spiff." ---"Kipworld", Dec 10, 2002
